Empowering

his light continue to shine

The Indigo Dreams Foundation was created in memory of Gabriel, a true treasure whose joy, kindness, and love continue to inspire us. Gabriel had a beautiful spirit—he loved celebrations, laughter, and the simple joy of sharing happiness with his friends.

Though his time with us was far too short, his light touched every heart he encountered. Through our programs, we honor his memory by spreading that same light, love, and joy to others—especially those in need of hope, connection, and empowerment.

It is our mission to ensure that Gabriel’s legacy lives on forever, shining brightly in the lives of the children, families, and communities we serve.

About Us

On April 26, 2012, I was blessed with the birth of Gabriel. I was overjoyed to bring our sweet boy home, and from the very first day, Gaby filled our lives with light. His perpetual smile, gentle spirit, and joyful demeanor made every day brighter and more fun.

Every day with Gaby felt like a dream come true. Even at such a young age, his happiness and kindness were boundless. In his four short years, he played, danced, ran, sang, and gave endless hugs—and above all—he loved cars, especially his little Mini Cooper, his favorite fire trucks, and his beloved Paw Patrol. He embraced life with joy, savoring every moment, and had a special love for spaghetti with Parmesan cheese and chocolate.

On April 21, 2016, I went to wake our little man, and he had passed away in his sleep. In that instant, the world as we knew it was gone. Preliminary results revealed no cause for his passing, leaving many questions unanswered that day and in the days to come.

As we seek to find peace and meaning, we have made it our mission to honor the incredible blessing we had for those four blissful years. Through Gaby’s happiness—and now the Indigo Dreams Foundation—we strive to bring joyous smiles, connection, and light to other children and families, just as Gaby brought to ours.

Immediately following Gaby’s memorial, we were introduced to the Sudden Unexplained Death in Children (SUDC) Program—a community of more than 1,000 affected families. The program is pioneering clinical research that may one day determine the causes of these heartbreaking losses and, ultimately, prevent them.

The SUDC Foundation serves as a centralized resource for information, support, and advocacy for parents. They provide complimentary assistance, including access to licensed clinical social workers, and all research is privately funded. A groundbreaking study is currently underway at NYU Langone Medical Center, with the ultimate goal of discovering why healthy, happy children pass away so suddenly and without warning.

There are SUDC parents all over the world whose children slipped away with no explanation. We will not rest until no family has to endure such an unimaginable loss.
